Chiranjeevi Asking Producers for Son-in-Law
Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law Kalyaan Dhev is making debut as lead hero in ‘Vijetha’ that is produced by Sai Korrepati. The ‘Eega’ producer is making this film to be in the good books of Megastar and their family heroes. Sai Korrepati belongs to Balayya camp but he wants to be ‘neutral producer’. Hence he came forward to launch Chiru’s son-in-law and the film is hitting the screens next month.
Now, Chiranjeevi is said to be calling up some producers to think of planning some small-budgeted movies with his son-in-law. Till now Chiranjeevi didn’t call any producers to produce movies with his son or brother’s son or for nephews as they themselves got successes so early. However in the case of his son-in-law, megastar is pushing. He is trying to promote him so that his son-in-law feels that his uncle is supporting him in best way possible.
Latest buzz is that another big production house will be producing Kalyaan Dhev’s second movie. A formal announcement will come soon.

The first song from ‘Vijetha’ is out and it is an instant hit. This is not a regular song but it is about the sacrifice of a bird i.e, chicken which is the favourite dish for the non-vegetarians. Coming to the song, lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry deserves all the applause for his brilliant lines.
The song starts with the varieties of chicken that are available and later shifts to describing its journey from farm to a dish. “Pettukoni Puttave Vonti Ninda Proteinsu… Akkade Debbesinde Ade Neeku Minussu” is one of the hilarious lines of this song. There are many such funny lines and it will definitely appeal to the mass audience.
Music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar is just fantastic and it is equally sung well by Lokeshwar. The audio launch of ‘Vijetha’ will be held on June 24th in Hyderabad and Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to grace it as chief guest.
Nani To Act With Keerthy Suresh?
One is a natural star and one is someone who has had a huge hit and fame thanks to Savitri’s biopic. In the past, the pair has had a hit together. Nenu Local had a good run for the pair and now looks like they will be acting together once again. RIght now, Keerthy Suresh has become a household name thanks to Mahanati and Haarika Haassine’s sister concern Sitara Entertainments wants to bring her in for their next movie.
Gautam who had made a different film like Malli Raava will be directing the film. The film is set 25 years back and has a cricket backdrop. Another film which was made with a sports background of sorts was Sharwa-Nithya Menon’s Malli Malli Idi Raani Roju. That apart, it is already known that Nani’s film has titled differently titled as Jersey. Also, the latest buzz is that director Gautam and Nani have come to a common conclusion that Keerthy Suresh is the best option as the heroine.
So, now the makers are trying for her dates. But Keerthy has already done a film with the makers in Agnyathavaasi. If she says yes, this will be her second film with the banner. While she has two films in Tamil, she does not have a film in Telugu for now. So, Nani’s film will be a good option for Keerthy.
Pawan Shifts His Base To Vijayawada!
Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, who had hitherto been operating from Hyderabad all these days, has shifted his base to Vijayawada completely. On Friday, Pawan performed house warming ceremony for his new house which he has taken on lease at Padamata Lanka area. He moved into the house along with his family members after performing puja.
According to Jana Sena sources, Pavan will operate from this house for all his political activities from now on. There is a separate office space, a meeting hall for media conferences and other party meetings and also open space for the visitors. “Pawan will be staying here for two days before resuming his Jana Porata Yatra in Visakhapatnam,” sources said.
In fact, in March this year, Pawan already performed “Bhoomi Puja” for his residence-cum-personal office building in his two-acre plot at Khaja in Guntur district, which falls under the new capital region of Amaravati. He announced then that once the construction is over, he would shift his base to Amaravati and obtain a voter identity card to become a permanent citizen of Andhra Pradesh.
At that time, there were rumours that it was Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu who prompted Pawan to purchase land at Khaja and construct his house-cum-office, only with a view to jack up the land value in Amaravati area. There were allegations that the land belonging to Lingamaneni Estates was sold to Pawan at a cost of Rs 20 lakh per acre, as against the market value of Rs 20 crore. And Lingamaneni is said to be very close to Naidu.
But for some strange reasons, Pawan did a volte face and started attacking Chandrababu Naidu within a few days of purchasing the land. And even before the completion of his own house there, Pawan decided to move into the rented house in Vijayawada. May be, he wanted to step up his campaign following reports that the elections might be advanced!
Nagarjuna Hands-Up Thanks To Officer
Just when Nagarjuna had decided that his time for playing the solo lead was up, he had a success in Soggade Chinni Nayana. So, he did a U-turn and decided to continue doing solo hero films. And that’s when his old friend and film-maker Ram Gopal Varma approached him and together they did Officer, much to the shock and disappointment of Nag’s fans.
Finally, Nag has realised that it was the biggest mistake of his career. Apart from being the biggest flop of his career, the film has been ranked as one of the worst flops of Telugu film industry. So, once again, Nag has decided to stop doing films as a solo hero. Unless, the story is extraordinary, he has decided not to do such films again.
Right now, he is doing a film with hero Nani. But talk is that he has taken a stern decision not to commit to any film for friends or out of obligation towards known people. With Officer’s debacle, even his die-hard fans have totally derided him.
Well, this time, Nag has learnt his lesson to not venture into projects that will affect his hard-earned image.
Akira and Anna Taking Care Of Pawan Kalyan’s Health
Finally, the secret behind Powerstar’s sudden applying of brakes to his famed Poratayaatra is out. From a time, the Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is suffering from an issue related to his eye. He mentioned earlier at Rangasthalam success meet that he’s sporting glasses not as a style statement, but due to an eye infection issue.
After his recent tour in North Andhra, actually the infection got more intense and Pawan Kalyan is advised of a surgery. That’s the reason he gave break to his tour and shifted to Vijayawada to get the treatment done. Though it’s a minor surgery, both his wife Anna Lezhenova and his elder son Akira Nandan are taking care of the actor.
Other day both Anna and Akira arrived at DV Manor hotel in Vijayawada to join Pawan Kalyan and flanked him all the way from the car to the portico. We hear that Akira has flown down from Pune to join his dad and stay by his side at the hospital.
Meanwhile Pawan has rented a new flat in Vijayawada for his stay and he did a small pooja as well along with Anna and Akira to join the house.

Actually, participants will be checked for their psychological strength and ability as well before actually they are picked for Big Boss show. But here in #BigBoss2, the likes of Nutan Naidu and new entrant Nandini Rai are looking like those disappointing jacks who feel sad for everything.
Other day with second jail term imminent, Nutan Naidu went depressed for the most of time. Then Nandini Rai is also seen saying that she’s getting little depressed and feeling lonely inside the house. But with these disappointing jacks, even the co-contestants and audiences are also slipping into that dull mode.
Some say that these two are really depressed and might get sent out of the house soon, while few felt that they are acting like as if they are depressed. Let’s see what happens in the coming days.
Jamba Lakidi Pamba Movie Review
If you are expecting a laugh riot like EVV’s classic comedy with the same title, then Srinivasa Reddy starrer Jamba Lakidi Pamba will let you down big time. The film turns out to be an endless bore in spite of many talented actors at the forefront.
What is it about?
Varun and Pallavi’s (Srinivasa Reddy, Siddi) marriage is on the rocks. The couple decides to part ways and approaches a lawyer named Harischandra Prasad (Posani) for divorce. The lawyer dies in an accident and turns into a ghost. He wants to clear the differences between the couple so that he could be with his wife who also died in the accident. Varun and Pallavi refuse to be together and therefore the ghost swaps their bodies.
Performances:
Srinivasa Reddy entertains in parts. His performance in the second half is good. His antics and body language as feminine character are fun to watch. Siddi Idnani also impresses in the second half only. She did well in getting her ‘male act’ right. Posani Krishna Murali is loud as usual. He offers some comedy here and there. Vennela Kishore tries to lift the spirits but is let down by a bad script. Tanikella Bharani, Rajesh, Raghu Babu and a bunch of other comedians are present, but none could make this lackluster film work.
Technicalities:
Director Murali Krishna’s script is clearly inspired from Guy Pearce’s comedy Dating the Enemy. There is potential in the script, but the director totally failed in making the comedy scenes work. He simply couldn’t make use of the talented actors like Srinivasa Reddy and Vennela Kishore. Murali also couldn’t make an impression with basic directorial skills. Even the framing and most of the shots look like an amateur’s work.
Gopi Sunder’s music is mediocre. Songs don’t add any value to the proceedings. Cinematography is strictly okay. Editor should have kept the runtime short as there are far too many lags in between. Production values are adequate.

Analysis:
Body swapping of husband and wife concept has ample chance to create so many funny incidents. But director Murali Krishna utterly fails in this aspect. First half of the film totally concentrates upon the differences between the couple. This part is a complete bore with neither comedic scenes nor engaging drama. Intermission episode raises hopes as the ‘Jamba Lakidi Pamba’ starts. We expect the film to be a laugh riot post interval, but the director’s bad sense of humor doesn’t give scope for at least one genuine comedy scene to cherish.
Srinivasa Reddy’s act as woman seems funny for a moment, but it gets repetitive after some time. In a desperate attempt to generate humor, the set up is shifted to a village, but the poor writing keeps haunting the film as ghost Posani haunts the lead pair in the film. One would expect the film to have oodles of fun with a promising title like Jamba Lakidi Pamba. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single scene where you could laugh out loud. The direction is so weak that even fantasy part involving a ghost hardly evokes any interest.
Surely the idea would have seemed promising on paper, but such concepts should be backed by good scenes and screenplay to work as a film. Differences between the couple are not established well. Every scene in the first half seems like an excuse to reach the intermission point so that they could jump into the ‘jamba Lakidi pamba’ mode. Post interval they seem to have taken it for granted that audience would anyway enjoy a male and female acting like opposite gender.
Besides poor comedy, the film suffers due to bad music and lack of technical finesse. Sad part is Jamba Lakidi Pamba surely has potential, but the idea landed in wrong hands. There is scope for making it work with the masses by inserting vulgar humor, but the director doesn’t even do that and Jamba Lakidi Pamba ends up as a film that offers nothing to any section of audience. The director should have simply remade EVV Satyanarayana’s film rather making this one.
