Despite getting average reviews from critics, hero Nani’s latest film “MCA” is showcasing its power among the masses. Nani’s energy and Sai Pallavi’s presence are working out huge magic for sure.

Apparently, Sai Pallavi has impressed audiences yet again with her dancing skills in the movie. Even if it is a simple step, her timed waist shakes and body swirls, and the way she poses with her legs after Nani lifts her into the air is amazing. And masses are said to be liking that Jr NTR’s step too.

For Janatha Garage movie, NTR performed a new style of dance movement in ‘Apple Beauty’ song. He curves back and rests his head on Samantha’s waist and then moves on the floor. In MCA now, Sai Pallavi also does the similar step in a song, curving back and resting her head on Nani’s waist. Yeah!! But masses are liking that step big time as they are whistling and cheering for that song.

Over the first weekend of four days, MCA amassed more than 17+ crores share from the box office, becoming a super successful film for Nani yet again. With Monday being Christmas holiday, definitely, the film will get strong collection again without much drop in revenues.

Some films make icons and celebrities out of the stars that feature in that project. Few films of that type are Baahubali and Arjun Reddy. While Vijay Deverakonda became a happening star in Telugu circuits, Baahubali made Rana Daggubati a national level star. Not just star, but he became ‘compulsory guest’ too.

Other day at the Xmas party organised by Governor ESL Narasimhan, our Baahubali star has made his presence felt. Though there are many other celebs invited, we have to say that after Megastar Chiru and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, ‘Bhallaladeva’ Rana is the sought after star for quick pictures and selfies by other guests.

Recently Rana went to Hello USA tour to promote Akhil Akkineni big time. More than any other anchor or host, his towering presence at events in Dallas, New Jersey and other USA cities impressed Telugu audiences big time. For promoting Sumanth’s Malli Raava movie, he donned the avatar of an interviewer.

Before that, he was seen at many Bollywood parties. Not just parties but conventions like TEDx also saw the Daggubati hero giving lectures as a guest speaker. A couple of months earlier, Rana was invited for India Day Parade that takes place every year in the USA to celebrate India’s independence feat. Rana went to Times Square, New York to take part in the celebrations.

Going by all these happenings, should we not say Rana became a sought after and compulsory guest at many events? Yes, he is. Thanks to #Baahubali.

1) MCA: What a year it has been for Nani, the Middle-class hero! After scoring back to back hits with Nenu Local and Ninnu Kori earlier this year, he is signing off 2017 on a top note as his latest film MCA took the box office by storm.

The film has been super strong all through the weekend in spite of middling talk and poor reviews. Nani is showing his sheer stamina as a star without positive word of mouth.

2) Hello: The film is clearly struggling to hold its ground as MCA dominated the weekend across B and C centers.

Hello had an edge in multiplexes and overseas, but the film needs to pick up to recover its high costs.

Hello has shown a significant growth on its first Sunday which is an encouraging sign as Monday is a public holiday.

3) Tiger Zinda Hai: It has been a very dull year for Bollywood so far. Salman Khan has finally put an end to the box office miseries by showing his true power as the superstar.

TZH had a fantastic first weekend and is on course to become one of the highest grosser in Salman’s career. It is sure going to be the top grossing movie of Bollywood this year.

4) Malli Raava: Sumanth had high hopes on this film to revive his career, but all Malli Raava could manage is below average collection.

The film has been decent across plexes but couldn’t make a mark elsewhere.

5) E Ee: This little known low budget film couldn’t take off amid high competition from MCA and Hello.

With a couple more films to hit the marquee next weekend E Ee has little chance to survive for another week.

The latest about Hello film is that the film’s director Vikram Kumar and heroine Kalyani are being inundated with ‘I hate you’ messages from fans. Apparently, there has been a constant flow of these messages to them, and for once, they are not complaining.

Well, the reason is obvious. The phrase ‘ I hate you’ has a context in the film Hello and the connotation in which it is used is different too.

In the film, Akhil’s character says ‘I hate you’ to his parents pretty often. And the director has a little logic to this. The hero uses the phrase to express his deep love for his parents.

Once the film released, the audience seems to have connected to the phrase almost instantly. So, many have started sending ‘I hate you’ messages to heroine Kalyani. Goes without saying, the debutant girl is rather ecstatic.

“I have been getting a lot of ‘I hate you’ messages. I am really happy and I am thankful to all. I want to take this opportunity to thank Vikram Kumar. I hate you Vikram Kumar,” tweeted Kalyani.

Kalyani happens to be the daughter of director Priyadarshan and actress Lissy and Hello is her first film.

It becomes a magical moment whenever Megastar Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan appears in one frame. Such magic happened last night when the two Mega brothers met at the dinner party hosted by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor Narasimhan in honour of President Ram Nath Kovind at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.

At the event, Chiru and Pawan not just greeted each other and chatted for a while, the former also took a selfie of the duo, which has predictably gone viral on social media, especially among fan groups. The last time these two iconic actors were captured in a selfie, it was taken by Pawan Kalyan, on the stage, at the audio launch event of his film, ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’.

Mega fans are jubilant to witness the camaraderie being shown by these two pillars of Mega family.

Director Madan said to have taken an interesting and gripping story and etched a powerful role for Mohan Babu. Given that powerful roles have worked for Mohan Babu (sample Pedarayudu,Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdary, Yamadharma Raju MA) in the past, it is buzzed that once again Mohan Babu would enthral in such a role in Gayatri. Talk is that Mohan Babu himself will be seen as hero and villain in the film.

Natural Star Nani, who is enjoying the good run of his recent release, ‘MCA’ at box office, has made some interesting revelations when asked about whether he would have done ‘Arjun Reddy’, rumors of having ego clash with Sai Pallavi, his films getting monotonous etc.

When asked if he would have acted in Arjun Reddy, Nani said, ‘When a film is offered to me, I think of whether it will make audience uncomfortable to watch with their families. I try to cater my films to all sections and all age groups. I liked Arjun Reddy very much when I watched it in theatre but I would not have given my consent if it had been narrated to me. Some films look good after being made, but they might sound different at narration stage. I really am not sure if I would have acted in Arjun Reddy’.

The ‘Nenu Local’ star said that both he and Sai Pallavi laughed off throughout the making of MCA when they heard and read the rumors of their ego clash. He instead praised Sai Pallavi and said that he himself makes sure that heroines in his films have strong characters, and that he never tries to downplay their roles.

When asked about his films getting monotonous, Nani asserted that they were not. ‘Maybe its because I am doing three films a year, some people find my films monotonous. If you take BBM, Nenu Local, Ninnu Kori, Gentleman, KVPG etc. they all are different from each other,’ Nani said.

Yesteryear heroine Bhumika has recently made a comeback to tollywood, essaying a meaty character in Nani’s “MCA”. During the promotions of this family entertainer, Bhumika divulged that she had signed Naga Chaitanya’s “Savyasachi” too. The ‘Kushi’ actress however didn’t reveal anything about the role she is playing in the film.

Gulte has learnt from our sources that Bhumika is on board ‘Savyasachi’ to play the character of Naga Chaitanya’s elder sister. It is a pivotal character in the film, and a driving force behind the actions of Chaitu’s character. Bhumika, who is looking for only potential characters, has signed Savyasachi as she was highly impressed with the script as well as her role. In fact, in her last released film, “MS Dhoni: Untold Story”, Bhumika essayed the sister character only, she appeared as Dhoni’s sister.

Bhumika has received good response for her performance in MCA, and she expects similar reception for Savyasachi too. Starring Nidhhi Agerwal as female lead, Savyasachi is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti.
