Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who has delivered some monumental blockbusters like Dangal, PK, 3 Idiots, Ghajini, Dhoom 3 etc. in the last couple of years, has divulged he mechanism by which he charges remuneration for his films.

Aamir said that he doesn’t charge an advance fee and only takes a percentage of the profit his films make. If the film doesn’t earn any profit, he wouldn’t take home anything as he claims to be the last person to get paid, after deducting all expenses and the remunerations of all artists and technicians.

“I follow the oldest method, I perform an art and if audience like it, they will give money, and if they don’t, they wouldn’t shell a penny. As I don’t take any upfront fees, I will be the worst hit if my films don’t work at box office. Fortunately, my films have brought profit,” he said.

Brand ‘Aamir’ has never failed in the last few years and has earned him hundreds of crores since all his films have raked in hundreds of crores of profit. He reportedly takes in 60-70 percent of his films’ profit. For ‘Dangal’, Aamir reportedly earned in excess of Rs 300 crore.

After roping in Samantha to promote the Handlooms in the state, the TS govt. has now chosen another top actress, Rakul Preet Singh as the brand ambassador of ‘Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao’ programme, which aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls.

Rakul felt honored to have been chosen to campaign for such noble cause, and she thanked the state govt. for the opportunity.

Both the filmmakers, Ram Gopal Varma and his former assistant Teja have now announced that they are coming up with their respective version of legendary NTR’s biopic. And that brings us to the focus of who is going to make the film more realistic.

Here realistic in the sense is not through no-makeup looks and simple costumes, but the authenticity of visuals that depends on using real locations. If one is making a film on NT Rama Rao, then his residential building in Hyderabad, present-day Telangana Secretariat buildings, United AP’s assembly building, and some particular star hotels are essential elements to be shown inside. While the interiors of these buildings could be shot in sets, making their exteriors will be a daunting task if real locations are not used.

As none other than Balakrishna is making this film on NTR, a die-hard fan of NTR like Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao may give clean permissions for the shoot at these iconic places in Hyderabad and that too without any charge.  So Teja is likely to bring huge realism to the visuals. When it comes to Ram Gopal Varma however, will he get permissions in a similar fashion as he is making the film from the perspective of Lakshmi Parvathi?

Some say, either both Varma and Teja should be given permission to shoot at these still-active locations or both should be denied. Doing favourism may not look good in the eyes of people. Also, the government may not charge the producers for these locations, because NTR is NTR whether it is in Andhra or Telangana!!

Young actor Gopichand has been out of commercial track and failed to impress the audience with his recent outings. Some of the films struggling with financial hurdles leaving the actor depressed. During the promotions of his last release Gautam Nanda, the actor preferred not to talk about his next film Oxygen and he clarified that there is some shoot pending and the movie has been delayed due of financial problems.

There have been speculations that Gopichand is not in good terms with the director AM Jothi Krishna and he even was not impressed with the way the film shaped. After a long delay, the movie is announced for release later this month and a grand audio launch has been planned on October 15th in Nellore.

The biggest question is that will Gopichand attend the audio event and promote the film or will he stay away from Oxygen. Despite the two songs and trailer released recently, Gopichand did not make any statements about the movie so far. Raashi Khanna and Anu Emmanuel are the female leads.

Probably with dusky siren Pooja Hegde signed for the item numbers in Rangasthalam 1985, one wonders if he has already come up with an interesting and peppy tune. At the same time, lyrics for DSP’s item numbers are always catchy and we have to see what sort of magic he will yield.

Just a day after launching his first directorial, actor Rahul Ravindran has unveiled the pleasantly looking teaser of his upcoming film, ‘Howrah Bridge’. The actor has established himself in Telugu film industry despite being a Tamilian.

Starring Rahul and Telugu girl Chandini Chowdary in lead roles, the film looks to be a romantic drama set in the backdrop of Kolkata’s Howrah Bridge. The pair of Rahul and Chandini looks very good on screen. Chandini especially looks very cute, innocent and beautiful. Their lovely chemistry is the biggest asset of the teaser.

Rewon Yadhu, the film’s director looks to have explored the conflicts in modern day relationships in the film. Sekhar Chandra’s background score deserves special mention. Visuals are colorful and give vibrancy to the teaser. The film seems to be a potential break for both Rahul and Chandini.
