Why They Didn’t Like Srimanthudu?
When Telugu industry is praising Srimanthudu for keeping equations like stardom aside for the sake of genuinely narrating a story, why the same content haven’t clicked with Tamil audiences? More than Telugu audience, tamil folks are known for accepting realistic films and some of their big hits like Aadukalaam, Shopping Mall and Journey are good examples. So, why Srimanthudu haven’t clicked there?
Realistic situations, raw looks and rural plots are seen quite often in Tamil films. All the star heroes like Ajith, Vijay and now Danush, Vishal and Karthi try such plots. However, the tamil version of Mahesh Babu’s latest movie, Selvandan, hasn’t impressed them big time. As we said earlier, collections of the film are proving this flop show, as the film collected nearly 60 lakhs “share” after 10 days of run at box office.
Many Tamil audiences felt that the second half of the film is culprit because they expected Mahesh involving in much of rural works after entering the village. Unlike their expectations, Mahesh wanders on cycle and takes class to every goon, but there is not much action related to developing a village, introducing new concepts of developing models related to sustainable irrigation or anything else. Though two many action sequences are present, they are stylish but not raw which tamil folks like.
Whatever maybe the reasons, somehow the content that is highly praised here remains as a simple movie there. Better luck next time Mahesh.
His Gym is Bigger Than His Bed Room
Hunk hero Hrithik Roshan has recently moved into his new flat in Mumbai. The sea-facing apartment is said to have a gymnasium bigger than his bedroom. Apparently, Hrithik’s gym is so huge and is spread across two rooms.
Since he is going to spend most of the time in gym, Hrithik wanted it to be bigger than his bedroom. “Hrithik is a guy who gives utmost importance to fitness, body-building. He believes that health lies in doing workouts. Hence he insisted to have a huge gym,” a source was quoted as saying.
Out of the two bedrooms, one is custom-built as per Hrithik’s tastes and the other one is tailor-made for his little sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The apartment faces Arabian Sea where one could get an endless stretch of the sea from the balcony.
What’s more? Hrithik is now planning to have his business meetings too there. Hrithik’s flat is on the third floor of the apartment and it is not too far away from his earlier residence.
Krishna Gave Me 14, What About Mahesh?
Not many know that actor Rajendra Prasad has excelled as a character artist even in the films of Superstar Krishna. Especially in films like “Ramarajyam lo Bheemaraju”, RP’s talented performance won acclaim. As journalists posed the same to the terrific actor, he has revealed an interesting fact.
“I’m happy to share screen with Mahesh Babu, after acting with his father, beloved Krishna annaya. But after acting with Annayya in Ramarajyam lo Bheemaraju, he has helped me get 14 more films.
He just recommended me. For how many films Mahesh will recommend my name now?”, Rajendra Prasad asked, pointing at Mahesh who’s sitting beside him.
“I’ve already given you Srimanthudu know sir?”, quipped Mahesh, in a rather jovial way. Interacting with media today, whole of Srimanthudu team has shared their happiness. They unanimously revealed that they haven’t slept properly from the last 1 week amidst this exciting result.
Bin Laden’s Son to be Crowned as Terror Prince
Slain dreaded terrorist and Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden’s son has pledged revenge on US. Laden’s son Hamza Bin Laden is reportedly being crowned as ‘prince of terror’ and he is likely to carry forward his father’s infamous legacy. Hamza, who is in his mid 20s, is considered as the future leader of terrorist group al-qaeda.
In the recently released message by al-qaeda, it shown Hamza Bin Laden asking the terrorist groups to take on United States, United Kingdom and other allied countries to US. Marking Washington, London, Paris, Tel Aviv as specific targets, the message has been shared on micro-blogging site Twitter. In the message, Hamza gave a call for lone wolf jihadist attacks on America.
“Hamza calls to move the war from Kabul, Gaza and Baghdad, to Washington, London, Paris and Tel-Aviv. Urges: ‘This is your duty’.” shared Rita Katz, director of Site, a terror intelligence group. “With Hamza, al-Qaeda hopes to renew the outfit’s popularity by reviving the brand of bin Laden,” Kaytz said.
“Al-Qaeda leadership wants Hamza as a future leader: someone loved and inspirational, without a negative reputation or participation in infighting,” he added. With this news spreading like wildfire, America and Britain have cautioned their security forces and intelligence wings.
Historic NTR House Waning
He was a legendary actor, doyen of Telugu cinema and a phenomenon in AP politics. He changed the course of Telugu cinema and Telugu politics. His contribution to state, language is wide, unparalleled. He is an icon and often regarded as godly figure. He is none other than Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao alias NTR, the man who led the masses.
NTR’s historic house in Chennai’s T-Nagar road, which was once symbol for NTR and considered as temple, is waning much to the dismay of NTR’s die-hard fans, staunch followers. Neither his family members nor his party leaders are bothered about NTR’s house in Chennai where the legendary figure stayed there from 1960 to 1980.
There used to be days where people throng in queues in front of house to get a glimpse of NTR. The noteworthy is that people who visited Tirumala then would head to Chennai from Tirumala only to see NTR. Instances like these would say that all. How much his fans, followers revered him and his house.
With years passing, the historic temple is slowly diminishing and lost its sheen. Especially after his passing away, none of his family members took care of this house. Now many are demanding to renovate the historic house and keep it as memorable monument for his fans.
Even few TDP leaders are expressing their wish to convert the house into TDP office in Chennai. It’s high time for Nandamuri and Nara families to step in before NTR’s memory slips into history.
Naga Shourya’s Abbayi tho Ammayi is now complete
Naga Shourya’s last outing, Jadoogadu did not yield a favourable result for the actor. He is however undeterred and is working on his next projects – Abbayi tho Ammayi by Veera fame Ramesh Varma and Kalyana Vibhogame by Nandini Reddy.
Abbayi tho Ammayi shooting is complete and the makers are planning to release the audio very soon. Ilayaraja had composed the music for this youthful entertainer. A new comer is romancing the actor in this film. On the other side, Kalyana Vibhigame is also progressing at a brisk pace.
The shooting of the movie is also nearing completion. The actor had pinned high hopes on this film to make it big at the box office.
Ram Charan’s next is 60% complete
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s next under the direction of Srinu Vaitla had completed 60% of its shooting formalities so far. The team is currently canning some comedy scenes in Hyderabad. After this schedule, they will fly to Thailand for another major schedule.
They have already completed a major schedule in Thailand where they shot the climax of the movie. They will have to shoot with out a break so that the movie releases for October 15th as planned earlier.
The team is likely to announce the finalized title on August 22nd as Chiranjeevi Birthday Special. The first look teaser and posters of the film are also expected on that day. This is the first time Srinu Vaitla is wielding megaphone for a Ram Charan starrer.
Balayya’s girl in Google’s most searched list
Radhika Apte who paired up with Balakrishna in Legend and Lion stood in the second place in the Google’s list of most searched in India. This is a rare feat and is an indication for the dusky beauty’s rising popularity.
However the bitter twist to this tale, she became popular in Google for infamous reason. The majority of the search volume is to watch her controversial nude video from a short film which was leaked a couple of months ago.
After this nude video, the maximum search is for her sensuous act in the superhit short thriller Ahalya. So her popularity in Google may not make Radhika or her fans so proud. Following her comments on Telugu film industry, she is unlikely to be given another chance here.
When Mahesh Babu Cried
He might be a superstar for his fans yet he is a good son to his father, doting husband to wife and adoring father to his kids. Mahesh Babu is a complete family man and not many would know how sentiments hold him tight. Mahesh Babu himself revealed that he got tears in his eyes when his father, veteran actor Krishna heaped him of praises for his acting prowess in Srimanthudu.
“When dad first watched the film, he had told director Siva garu that Srimanthudu was my best film in my career. He told me the same. When he had told me, I got tears in my eyes,” said emotional Mahesh who is buoying in the success of Srimanthudu. He expounded, “Dad is very honest.
He is a child at heart. He speaks upfront. With praises coming from him, I got tears of joy.” Sharing compliments further, Mahesh said, “My brother (Ramesh) has greeted my with bouquet for the first time. It gave me new, different feeling.
My Peddodu (reel brother Venkatesh) visited my house and complimented me.” Mahesh said that he is upbeat over the accolades for the film from people of all walks of life including politicians. He said he never felt risky doing Srimanthudu. On whole, Mahesh is gearing up for his next Brahmotsavam.
6.5 Billion Cash in crashed Indonesian Plane
An Indonesian Domestic Passenger Plane with 54 people on board crashed in Papua. Reportedly, The aircraft lost contact with the air traffic control for several hours after taking off from Jayapura’s Sentani airport to reach Oksibil which is the capital of Papua on Sunday. Residents of Ok Bape district provided information about the crash of plane into Tangok mountain.
Another shocking fact disclosed just few hours after the crash is that this Indonesian aircraft was transporting exactly 6.5 billion rupiah ($470,000) in cash which is meant for distribution to poor families in the eastern province. About four officials of Jayapura Post Office were escorting the money stashed in four bags.
The Aircraft ATR 42-300 operated by Trigana Air Service is carrying 44 adults, 5 children and 5 crew members. While the total travelling time was around 45 minutes, The plane lost contact just 10 minutes before reaching the destination and then crashed in a remote area.
Trigana Air Service suspect unfavourable weather condition could be the reason for the crash. This tragedy is yet another mighty blow to Indonesia’s poor air safety record. In December last year, An Indonesian Plane carrying 162 people crashed in the Java sea on its way to Singapore.

In an attempt to publicize government schemes, programmes, Telangana government is contemplating to seek the support of social network giant Facebook. None other than IT Minister KT Rama Rao has divulged the news. Speaking at a conference on “Facebook for Business”, KTR made aforementioned comments.
He expressed his wish to tie up with Facebook for the promotion of government schemes. “Social media’s impact on today’s society is substantial, phenomenal. Facebook is playing a significant role in shaping up of public opinion. It’s a determinant factor. Considering this, Telnagana government is contemplating to take seek its support and publicize government schemes via Facebook,” said KTR.
KTR stated that his father and CM KCR has humongous following on Facebook. “KCR is the most followed CM in Facebook. No other CM has as following as KCR has in Facebook. He is the only CM to have such a great following,” shared KTR.
Eros International bags Kick-2 rights
Bollywood Corporate giant, Eros International had bagged the much needed success in Telugu with Srimanthudu and now they seem to be expanding their business here. It is said that they have bagged the rights of Kick-2 which will be releasing this Friday. We do not know the details of the deal but learnt that Kalyan Ram had incurred some loss on the project.
Eros will now honour all the business done by Kick-2 so far. Kick-2 release was postponed several times due to various reasons and is finally seeing light. Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead while Thaman composes the music.
Vakkantham Vamsi who penned Kick is also the writer of this film. This is the first production venture of Kalyan Ram with another hero than himself. It is interesting to note that it is Kalyan Ram who introduced Surrender Reddy with his blockbuster movie, Athanokkade.
Naga Chaitanya’s gift for fans on dad’s Birthday!
Naga Chaitanya is busy shooting in Araku for his next under the direction of Gautam Menon. The makers are planning to announce the title of the film and release the first look teaser of the movie on August 29th as Nagarjuna’s Birthday Special. The movie is more than 50% complete.
We have heard titles like Ventadu and Churakathhi for the movie. The action sequences of the film are said to be the major highlight of the movie. Malayalam heroine Manjima Mohan is making her Telugu debut with this film.
The movie is a bilingual and the Tamil version has Simbu playing the lead role. Ravindra Reddy is producing the film in Telugu under his Dwaraka Creations banner while Kona Venkat is co-producing it. AR Rahman is scoring the music.
