The muhurtham of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s next Brahmotsavam is likely to take place on May 31st on the occasion of Superstar Krishna’s Birthday. The makers are busy finalizing the cast and crew for the movie. They have given a casting call for the actors who play Mahesh Babu’s friends and Brother-in-laws in the movie.

The auditions for these roles will take place today and tomorrow in Hyderabad. Samantha and Rakul Preet Singh are said to be the female leads in this film. One more heroine is yet to be finalized. Srikanth Addala earlier directed Mahesh Babu’s super hit film, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and so expectations are riding him on this project.

Potluri Vara Prasad will be producing the film on his Picture House Media Ltd. Banner. The regular shooting of the movie will begin after Mahesh Babu completes his commitments for Srimanthudu.

Dulquer Salman, son of Mammootty suddenly impressed Telugu audience with his latest film, Ok Bangaram. Youth and female audience instantly connected to him. Dulquer is in Hyderabad today for promoting the movie and spoke to media about the film and several other things.

On this occasion, Dulquer was asked about what he knew about Telugu film industry and his favourite stars here, “I liked Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu from Telugu films. I have seen good number of movies of them”, he said.

Ok Bangaram is doing well at the box office in Telugu and Tamil. The movie is particularly doing well in the Multiplexes and A centers. But in Tamil, the movie is being hit by piracy. Already high quality piracy prints of the movie are out on net. Maniratnam recently knocked the door of courts complaining about this menace. He approached the Madras High Court against twelve Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and two websites which are said to be helping the hosting of the film’s pirated version.

Debuting in Bollywood and making presence felt there is the dream of any actor down the South. But it is surprising to learn that Allu Arjun dropped the chance of making his Hindi debut. The actor was offered a little cameo in Prabhudeva’s latest directorial, ABCD2 but he turned it down.

“I was offered the role. But I want to wait for the right script with a full-fledged role to go to Bollywood. I do not want to go there with a cameo”, Allu Arjun revealed the reason for turning down the project.

Allu Arjun is very busy in the past couple of weeks in the promotions of his latest film, Son of Satyamurthy. He will be attending the success meet of S/O Satyamurthy in Vishakapatnam today. Dochey is carrying disappointing reports. Director was an asset to Swamy Ra Ra but he seem to have stumbled near his second project. The movie is not convincingly narrated and fails to impress. He tried to make up with the comedy track of Bullet Raja Brahmanandham but it did not work out very well. Kriti Sanon is totally confined to songs and is wasted. Even the songs and rerecording are also not effective. Finally they say the movie is of below average range.

If this talk turns out to be true, only the Summer holidays advantage and no competition at the box office should help the movie. Given the buzz around the movie, distributors have shelled out big amounts for it and it will be difficult for them to recover in case the talk is negative.

Dil Raju was with out a hit for a long time. He finally opened his account with Ok Bangaram which is likely to end up as very profitable venture for him. However, Dil Raju landed himself in a trouble which may even prompt TV media to boycott all the pressmeets and promotional activities of Dil Raju and his movies.

Up to now, all the TV channels are paid same rates for broadcasting Trailers of the movies. However Dil Raju is prompting the Producers Council is likely to implement a new regulation of giving promotional material of films and other ad commercials only to selective channels and for increased tariffs.

This new regulation is apparently not going well with the television channels and they are now sharpening their knives against the leading producers in the industry including Dil Raju. They are contemplating to boycott all the movies of Dil Raju. If this materializes, it will very badly impact all the films of Dil Raju. Needless to say, Subrahmanyam for Sale will be the first to suffer.
