Venkatagiri confirmed for Anam Ramnarayana Reddy
Former Minister and TDP leader Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has been confirmed the ticket from the constituency of Venkatagiri in Nellore, according to YSRCP sources.While Anam initially was keen on Atmakur, the constituency already has Mekapati Gautam Reddy, son of Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, loyal to the YSRCP.
Therefore, YS Jagan has allotted Venkatagiri constituency to Anam which has Kurugondla Ramakrishna of the TDP as the sitting MLA.Meanwhile, Karanam Balaram is also expected to join the YSRC by the end of August.Reportedly, it will be Karanam Balaram’s son Venkatesh who will first join the YSRCP and his father will follow suit later.
Negotiations are reportedly going on regarding the constituency, between the Karanam family and YSRCP.
They Raise A Battle Cry And Then Fall At Their Feet
‘Inside, they fall at the feet of Narendra Modi, outside, they claim they are fighting a war against the Centre,” tweeted Pawan Kalyan referring to the TDP MPs.He also said that there would be no surprise if TDP changes its stand yet again.
“How should we understand your party MPs falling at the feet of Narendra Modi and then criticising the BJP in the same hall? You say that Union Minister Rajnath Singh still considers you as friends.
How then can you claim that yours is a Dharma Poratam? What is the guarantee that you will not change your stance tomorrow for your benefits?” questioned Pawan Kalyan.
A Historic Opportunity Goes A Begging
It was the first no-confidence motion against a Central government in 15 years and the objective was to lay bare, the injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh both in the form of bifurcation and post-bifurcation.TDP was extremely hopeful of appealing to the conscience of the nation and the BJP via the medium of the no-confidence motion and was expectant that Andhra Pradesh would become the focal point of the nation’s discussion. But it was not to be!
The national media completely focused on the dual between Rahul Gandhi and Modi, the hug between them and the barbs they traded.One really can’t blame the national media either because Rahul Gandhi and Modi have been bitter critics of each other belonging to two parties that are poles apart in their ideology.
Therefore, a moment of affection between them even in jest would naturally make headlines. Unfortunately, it has come at the expense o Andhra Pradesh.It is now clear that both the Congress and BJP had utilized the occasion to sound the bugle for the 2019 polls. They just used TDP to give it a platform and ired their guns at each other over TDP’s shoulders.

The teaser of director Sampath Nandi’s second production ‘Paper Boy’ is out. The 62 seconds video starts off introducing the lead cast, Santosh Shoban and Riya Suman.The couple appear fresh and what we can see in the teaser is a neat and cute presentation of love story. Cinematography by Soundar Rajan is the biggest asset for the film and the visuals of the teaser look rich and vibrant.
Hero Santosh Shoban, though a newcomer comes up with a subtle performance. When the leading lady asks why he is working as a paper boy after graduating in engineering, Santosh gives a smart reply… “Adi Bathakadam Kosam… Idi Bhavishyathu Kosam” which is quite sensible.

Prime Minister spoke with arrogance, says Chandrababu
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with arrogance during the debate on no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha.Naidu, whose party had moved the no-confidence motion against the NDA government, said that Modi spoke as if Andhra Pradesh was not part of India.
“His arrogance was because he had the numbers,” said Naidu while terming the no-confidence motion as a fight between majority and morality.The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief was talking to reporters after the defeat of the motion in the Parliament.Naidu alleged that the prime minister also spoke alightly’ and acheaply’. “By stating that I took u-turn he launched a political counter attack,” said Naidu.
On Modi’s comments that he had warned him that he was falling in the trap of YSR Congress, the TDP leader said the Prime Minister was doing injustice to the state for political mileage and resorting to blackmail. “It is unbecoming of a person holding the position of the Prime Minister to say such things,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the Prime Minister’s reply disappointed five crore people of the state and the entire country as they had hoped that he will show some repentance over no fulfilling the promises made to the state and correct his mistakes.Naidu also took strong exception to Modi’s remark that he was picking up fight with Telangana and recalled that even before bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh he had been calling for an amicable solution through talks.
Stating that Andhra Pradesh has been cheated again, Naidu appealed to people to stage protest demonstrations on Saturday.He claimed that for the first time a no-confidence motion moved by a regional party received support from several parties. He will be leaving for New Delhi on Saturday to thank the parties which supported the motion. Naidu said he would also tell the nation as to how the state was betrayed.
A Recurring Problem For Naga Chaitanya
Savyasachi is one film that has generated a lot of curiosity before launch. Starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead, the film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and has Madhavan in a pivotal role.But Savyasachi is getting delayed and there is uncertainty around the release date leading to loss of craze among fans.
Earlier also, his films Autonagar Surya and Sahasam Sawaasaga Saagipo were delayed quite a bit affecting the expectations on the projects.Besides, action films have never worked in the past for Naga Chaitanya, despite which he has placed his confidence in Chandoo Mondeti because of the latter’s ability.
While films do get delayed for every actor one time or the other because of reasons beyond their control, for it to happen regularly for an actor is not a good thing.
Naga Chaitanya would do well to address this problem.

There’s a beautiful saying in Telugu: Rameswaram Poyina, Saneeswaram Poledu!Galla Jaydev proved it once again in Parliament today by referring to films made by is fellow community members during a serious discussion on the injustice to AP.Narrating the story line of his brother-in-law Mahesh Babu’s film Bharat Ane Nenu of how an NRI comes back to India and becomes the CM on the premise that a man should keep his word failing which he is not a human being, Galla Jaydev asked Modi to honour his promises to Andhra Pradesh.
Then referring to Baahubali, he questioned whether the Centre would not at least give Andhra, the amount of money used to make the film.Was Jaydev in Parliament to speak on SCS or promote the films? Maybe, they are due for release on Amazon Prime. It was really absurd to see this Kamma Bhajana in Parliament. Meanwhile, Galla Jayadev and the TDP are being trolled on social media.
“Chandrababu Naidu made 600 promises in his election manifesto, has he not watched Bharat Ane Nenu, Galla?” is the trending question.Thankfully, Balakrishna was not there or he would have used some infamous dialogue from the adult film Arjun Reddy.
But looking at Jayadev Galla’s speech in Parliament today, one cannot help feel that Chandrababu Naidu has lost out on a golden opportunity today.
