Initial hiccups continue for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ambitious project, Sye Raa. Going by the ongoing buzz in film circles, cinematographer Ravi Varman had walked out of the film and Ratnavelu is likely to replace him.

When the cast and crew of Sye Raa were officially announced last month, it looked like a formidable team. Assembling Amitabh Bachchan, AR Rahman, Sudeep, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Ravi Varman, Rajeevan and others was no joke. Just when it was heard that the shoot will commence next month, reports emerged that cinematographer Ravi Varman had walked out citing other commitments.

Reports also indicate that Ram Charan, who is bankrolling this project, has already signed Ratnavelu to replace Ravi Varman. It is known that Ratnavelu had earlier cranked camera for Megastar’s comeback film ‘Khaidi No.150’, and he won immense acclaim for showing Chiru very handsome even at 60+.

Ratnavelu is currently working on Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’. He is expected to move from the sets of Charan’s film to the sets of Sye Raa next month. In all probability, Sye Raa will go on floors soon after the shoot of ‘Rangasthalam’ was over. A huge set has already been erected in Nanakramguda to commence the shooting.

SS Rajamouli, the film director with the highest following on social media, has started receiving criticism lately for the film reviews he gives. Afresh, he is receiving flak from his followers for his tweet on NTR’s ‘Jai Lava Kusa’.

“Tarak.. my heart is swelling with immense pride..words are just not enough..jai JAI,” Rajamouli tweeted presumably after watching the film today.

Here, Rajamouli was seemingly praising only the performance of NTR as Jai in the film. He didn’t write about how the film was, he didn’t touch any aspect of the film except expressing how proud he felt while watching the menacing yet emotional performance of Jai character.

Rajamouli’s followers however didn’t spare him and started taking jibes at the way he reviews films. He has no one but himself to blame for the backlash he is receiving now even though he hasn’t reviewed Jai Lava Kusa this time.

The ‘Baahubali’ director has in the recent times praised movies like Patel Sir, Paisa Vasool and a few other films on the first day of their release and his positive words about Yuddham Sharanm on pre release event. His words encouraged some of his followers to watch those films only to get disappointed. While some took satirical route, some suggested the director not to lose his credibility by projecting badly made films as good films.

Not many heroines are intelligent, but there are few whose tactics can keep them long with film industry. Raashi Khanna seems to be one from the latter lot. Though the girl entered tollywood quite some time back, she failed to jump into big league.

After a list of films with Young and medium range heroes, Raashi Khanna baggd Jai lava Kusa with NTR. And Raashi Khanna did her part to be part of this film other than hot looks and acting. She is heard to have kept her remuneration regular low and also signed an yes for movie promotion whenever necessary.

Producers don’t expect much favors from heroines, but when they got ready to promote the film and that too with their regular remuneration for a big ticket film, that makes the producer happiest. Now with this trick, Raashi Khanna is flooded in offers and she is not in a mood to hike her pay anytime soon, even after acting in NTR’s film.

Heroines usually try to get the maximum benefit with pay, if they get to pair a star hero, but Raashi Khanna is after next offers. If at all, Jai Lava Kusa fails at Box office, Raashi Khanna will move ahead with offers bagged in the name of Jai Lava kusa at low remuneration for next few films. And if Jai Lava Kusa turns a blockbuster, demand for Raashi obviously doubles! That’s Raashi unbeatable sketch!

Right from the first look to trailer, Spyder could not garner the expected craze and response. Few Fans even left comments to Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu on twitter asking not to release repeated photos each day. While there are no attractive scenes or dialogues in teaser or trailer,  Mahesh Babu and Murugadoss are heard to be super confident on Spyder scoring blockbuster without even a sign of doubt.

The reason behind their confidence seems to be two particular episodes that are not shown anywhere in trailer, as an element of surprise. The visual effects in these two scenes are heard to be of international standards and graphics work that came out well as the director and Mahesh expected it to be. These two episodes might become highlight for the whole film and that is the reason why Spyder team or Mahesh Babu ignored the negative buzz right from the beginning. One of those action episodes is a part of climax.

Well, the Spyder team feels that these scenes are sure to give goosebumps to audience and it was part of plan to keep every frame from these under wraps. Rumor mills say that the four month delay behind Spyder completion is just due to these highly expected episodes. While the repeated posters, dubbed songs and weak trailer visuals could not impress audience so far, Mahesh Babu seems to betting huge on just two quality episodes.

SS Rajamouli’s father and veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad has asked the producers of his latest film, ‘Srivalli’ to forgive him.

It is known that ‘Srivalli’ is the latest directorial of Prasad, which released last Friday to below par reception and bombed at box office.

Speaking at the post-release promotional event, Vijayendra Prasad apologized to the film’s producers for failing to shape up the film as he had envisioned it. He said that his script was sublime but his execution went awry. In order to compensate the Srivalli producers, Prasad offered his full support to them for their future projects. He praised the efforts of actors and technical team of Srivalli for putting in their sincere efforts.

It may be recalled that in one of the earlier promotional events, Rajamouli said that he didn’t had confidence in the subject but his father had immense faith in it.

The senior writer has achieved national acclaim as a writer by penning several blockbusters including Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan but whenever he attempted direction, the result somehow neither pleased him nor audience.

Movie lovers feel that the senior writer should stick to writing and deliver many more blockbusters.

It is known that NTR will team up with Trivikram for his next film. Speculations are rife that he is in discussions with Koratala Siva and Rajamouli for his follow up project. The star hero has now clarified that he hasn’t signed any other film except Trivikram’s and that he would take a call on his next film only after the release of Trivikram’s film.

NTR had been longing to work with Trivikram and the project has finally materialized. Even though the project looks to get a little late to take off because of the delay in Trivikram wrapping up PK25, NTR is in no mood to look at any other director but wait for the ‘Athadu’ maker.

Although NTR has started experimenting with his roles from Temper, he is still being treated as a mass hero. He has yet to completely win the family audiences and the Nizam area where he is relatively weak. The actor has reportedly identified Trivikram as the potential director who can take him closer to all sections of audiences. He is hopeful of getting the full-fledged all rounder image with Trivikram’s film.

Well, who can deny that NTR’s mass image and Trivikram’s following among class and family audiences is one of the deadliest combinations one can think of.

When asked about film with Rajamouli, Tarak responded, “I will never him to do a film with me as I know that he will himself approach me if he thinks he has a story suitable for me”.

Superstar Mahesh currently hasn’t started promoting his film “Spyder” while films like “Mahanubhavudu” that are hitting cinemas post his film started making noise already. While Mahesh has his plans to promote Spyder, his debut Tamil film as he chalked a new scheme for Tamil audiences.

Reports are coming that Mahesh wants to tackle Tamil journalists in a different way than Telugu journalists are treated. These days, almost all the Telugu media folks get invited to one five-star hotel in Hyderabad, and all interviews will be given there only. But when it comes to Tamil media, Mahesh asked his PR team not to follow this routine, they say.

Mahesh will be taking part in individual interviews of Tamil TV channels at their studios and will be involved in some game shows and entertainment programs being hosted by them. Also if he misses out any journalist or any media house, his team will arrange air-tickets to them, such that they will meet him here in Hyderabad and take his bytes about Spyder. Along with Mahesh, his co-stars and crew will also take part in all these interviews. What a royal treatment this is, isn’t it?

What bothers Telugu media folks now is, how come similar treatment is not meted to Telugu film media? During Brahmotsavam promotions, many film journos are upset that Mahesh wrapped all the interviews at a five-star hotel and gave only 15 minutes each for every media house. Let’s see how it goes this time.

Bobby, the director of “Jai Lava Kusa” lifted NTR to the sky when he said that any other hero would have taken 1.5-2 years to complete the film. He added that he might not have even made the film if NTR hadn’t agreed to do it.

During an interview, Bobby said that it was a herculean task to complete a star hero’s film in such short time as the hero was essaying triple role in the film. “Our JLK team however managed to wrap up the film in under six months without compromising on the quality only because of NTR. It would have taken 2 years for any other hero to complete this film. In fact, I wouldn’t have dared to do this film with any other hero,” Bobby said.

“Not many actors can show three variations in a single film with so much ease. Tarak understood the requirements of the three characters during the story discussion stage itself and he accepted the film after doing home work on ‘Jai’ character for one week. I was surprised at the mannerisms he had come up with to look authentic as a person with stammering problem. A director’s work becomes very easy when he works with an actor who has so much understanding,” the director divulged describing how easy NTR made his job.

Recollecting how JLK happened, Bobby said that he had huge pressure on him while penning the story of JLK as he was just coming out of ‘Sardaar’ fiasco. “I was sure that NTR will own the film if he I could get his green signal, which I did, fortunately. Tarak owned the script more than I had expected,” he concluded.

Today it happens to be Akkineni Nageswarao’s birthday and his star son Nagarjuna is quite upbeat about it. Like all the time, all the family of Akkinenis met for breakfast today morning at their very early house in Hyderabad where ANR raised them all. Reminiscent of those childhood memories, all the family members of Akkineni enjoyed this reunion, Nagarjuna said.

But the stunner aspect of this breakfast event is nothing but Nagarjuna turning there with his mustache complete shaved off. When he appeared at Raju Gari Gadhi 2 press-meet today morning in that way, even media folks also got stunned. Generally, he never prefers to be without his mustache even when he played some devotional roles, but this time Nagarjuna has chopped it. Though the senior star stated that he had done it for fun, everyone believes that there is a strong reason behind it.

Some insiders said that Nagarjuna tried a new mustache style, but in the end, the stylist disappointed him. Thinking about it a couple of times, finally, the senior Akkineni star decided to remove it off completely. Anyway, those who have seen him this way are saying that he’s making young heroes jealous and heroines envy with such a look.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has created several non-Baahubali records with his comeback film ‘Khaidi No.150’. One of those records was the US premieres record. Khaidi collected around $ 1.2 million with US premieres, and that non-Baahubali record is still intact. Can NTR smash it with his new film, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’?

Generally, mass entertainers don’t attract US audiences but JLK looks to be a rare exception. Movie lovers here are neither caring about the genre nor director Bobby’s track record as expectations on Tarak’s triple-performance have overshadowed all possible limitations of the film.

JLK is being released on a huge scale across North America. Thanks to the alluring offers in place for the premiere shows, advance ticket booking looks quite encouraging. Since several shows had become houseful, more shows were added at the eleventh hour. Looking at the hysteria, trade experts are predicting the NTR-starrer to smash Khaidi No.150 premieres record and set up a new non-Baahubali record.

The craze for the movie in the domestic market is on another level altogether. The film is having non-Baahubali record release (no. of theatres wise) and it is expected to create set up non-Baahubali Day 1 record which is held by Khaidi No.150 only.

Tarak’s triple role, Jai character, lack of a paisa vasool film in last four weeks, Dusshera festive season and other factors have set up a perfect red carpet for JLK to storm box office.
